Selected Work
A studio's portfolio
is its only argument.
We take on a small number of projects each year. The work below represents most of what we've built over the last five seasons.
-
Hollow Ridge Estate
2024Bedford, NY
A 14-acre Bedford property reimagined around a single moving idea — that the garden should feel found, not designed. The architecture is restrained; the planting is dense and naturalistic; the stonework is dry-laid from local fieldstone collected within ten miles.
-
Cypress House
2023Greenwich, CT
An Italianate garden for a Greenwich property — formal terraces, hand-cut limestone, and twelve mature olive trees that wintered over their first season under fleece. A study in restraint and patience.
-
Marsh & Pine
2023East Hampton, NY
A coastal property in East Hampton where the work was as much about restoration as design — re-establishing dune grasses, reintroducing native meadow, and laying a cedar boardwalk that vanishes into the landscape.
-
Foundry Courtyard
2022Hudson, NY
Public courtyard at a mixed-use development in Hudson, NY — a study in how a commercial site can hold the weight of slow time. Reclaimed cobble, Cor-Ten planters, and native plantings that read more like a meadow than a planter scheme.
-
Northpoint Residence
2022Litchfield, CT
A four-acre woodland garden in Litchfield. The brief was to do less, more carefully — restore a degraded stream, blanket the forest floor with native moss, and let the existing oaks do most of the work.
-
Wren Hollow
2021Princeton, NJ
Restoration of a Princeton property's 19th-century formal gardens. A parterre rebuilt from historic photographs, dry-laid sandstone walls restored to their original courses, and a 28-tree heritage apple orchard planted from cultivars sourced across the Northeast.
